Salary: $6,556.85 - $9,226.19 Monthly

 Experience: Minimum eighteen (18) years of age.

 Education: High School graduation or GED equivalency.

Graduation from a California Office of the Fire Marshal State Fire Training accredited Firefighter I Academy is required.

 Current EMT-Paramedic license per California Administrative Code or ability to obtain California EMT-P license within 120 days of hire is required. Possession of accreditation from the Orange County Emergency Medical Services (OCEMS) to practice as a Paramedic must be obtained by the end of the probationary period.

 Due to the performance of some field duties which require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid and appropriate California driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required. Ability to obtain a California firefighter restrictive driver's license must be obtained by the end of the probationary period.

 Possession of a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider card is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained by end of probationary period.

 In order to successfully complete the probationary period, possession of all the following are required: OCEMS accreditation to practice as a Paramedic, California firefighter restrictive driver's license and ACLS and PALS certification.
