Position: FIREFIGHTER/EMT

Salary: $30,742 - $44,609 per year (Joplin)
Requirements: The Alliance will be conducting a pre-employment written & physical ability test (PAT) to establish a hiring pool for future hiring’s for a 12 month period.

Test Prerequisites:
Applicants must have a H.S. diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, legally entitled to work in the U.S. and have a valid drivers license.

Hiring Prerequisites:
Each member Department maintains its own hiring prerequisites which are available on their web sites. Some college education is desirable; as are EMT, Firefighter II, and paramedic certifications (certain departments prefer applicants with EMT certification but it is not required to take this test).

NOTE: In preparation for your testing, we would like to notify you of a Firefighter practice test that is offered by our testing vendor. This practice test is located at https://ErgoPracticeTests.com. The practice test lasts between 30-45 minutes and will give you examples for each portion of the testing process. When visiting the site, please make sure to review the Frequently Asked Questions for details of cost ($22.95) , system requirements and technical support.

This practice test is not a requirement for your upcoming test date and is offered as an option to you in preparation for your testing with Tri State Fire Recruitment Alliance.

To participate in testing a registration form must be received with a $50 cashiers check, personal check or money order to City of Joplin, Human Resources Office, 602 S.
