NOTE: This is an easy, low-maintenance way to cook ribs on those busy days. You will need a large Crock Pot for this recipe and want to start them early, but once you do you can walk away until dinner time. Suggestions: Serve with garlic fries, or oven baked fries and or rice and your favorite veggie.
Prep time: 10 Minutes Cook time: 8 hours.
Ingredients: Approximately 8 Lbs of Baby Back Pork Ribs, or Country Ribs (Any ribs of your choice will work). 1 Large or 2 Small Yellow or White Onion(s), (chopped) 6-8 Garlic cloves, (finely diced/minced). Lots of store bought BBQ sauce.
Cooking instructions: Remove thin, clear membrane from the ribs. Cut ribs into section of about 4-5 ribs per section. Add 1 cup of water to Crock Pot and 1 cup of BBQ sauce. Add 2-3 of the rib sections. Add more BBQ sauce and some of the onion and garlic on top. Add another 2-3 sections of ribs and again add more onion and garlic on top. Repeat until done and cover last layer with generous amounts of BBQ sauce, remainder of the onion and garlic and drizzle a little more water on top. Cook on Low for 8 hours. Once or twice open crock pot and use large spoon to mix and baste ribs with the sauce.
