The Reserve Firefighter will be assigned to a 24-hour shift engine company to provide fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue, hazardous material response and other emergency and public services. Participates in regular training drills, assist in fire prevention inspections, station and equipment maintenance, assists with scheduled public relations activities, and performs other duties as assigned. Reserve firefighters will be required to participate a minimum of three 24-hour shifts per month. There is no residency requirement for this position. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.; possess a valid California Drivers License; CSFM Firefighter I Certificate or Firefighter I Academy completion from an accredited college, or 2 years existing Volunteer Firefighting experience; CPR/First Aid Certified; Valid CPAT within 1 year of issued date will be accepted in lieu of Winters Fire Department Physical Ability Test (PAT). Prompt application is encouraged. Applicants are required to provide thorough yet concise information on their related work experience and education to ensure correct and accurate evaluation of their qualifications.
