Is there an age restriction to test?

Age requirements vary & are sometimes due to a State requirement. The minimum age is typically 18 years of age, however, the age minimum may be anywhere between 18-21. There may be a maximum age requirement of 35. This is common in the States of TX & IL. In the State of Arkansas the age maximum is sometimes as low as 31-32 years of age & New York City has an age maximum of 29 years of age in order to take their test. These age restrictions depend on the State & the agency. Most areas do not have an age maximum, and those that do will often have some exceptions, which you will need to look at case by case. You should not let age requirements deter you, but you should realize that it may be a factor in where you can and cannot apply.
